Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Duuliye Business collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when business owners, managers, cashiers, waiters, and staff use the Duuliye Business POS mobile app and related web dashboard services.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Duuliye Business app and Duuliye business platform features used for restaurant POS, shopping POS, spare parts shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, laundry services, exchange services, online stores, inventory, orders, customers, staff, reports, payments, receipts, and related business operations.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features used, we may collect and process:
- Account and registration information such as name, phone number, email address, business name, branch, role, and login details.
- Business setup data such as company profile, business type, country, city, address, logo, currency, timezone, tax settings, receipt settings, and branch or warehouse information.
- POS and operational data such as products, categories, stock quantities, prices, orders, order items, tables, kitchen tickets, invoices, expenses, purchases, GRN records, suppliers, customers, payments, refunds, reports, and statements.
- Customer data entered by the business, including customer name, phone, email, address, credit balance, loyalty, statement, and transaction history.
- Device and technical data such as device type, app version, IP address, network status, crash logs, diagnostic logs, sync status, device registration name, printer settings, and security events.
- Optional media and files such as product images, business logos, receipt scans, AI scan images, imported Excel files, and documents uploaded by the user.
- Location-related business details such as selected country, city, branch address, currency, and timezone. We do not collect continuous GPS location unless a feature explicitly requires permission and the user grants it.
3. How We Use Information
- To create, verify, secure, and manage business accounts and staff sessions.
- To operate POS, inventory, restaurant, shopping, exchange, reporting, accounting, statement, receipt, kitchen, printer, and multi-device sync features.
- To process orders, payments, refunds, customer balances, vendor balances, stock deduction, stock restore, and audit logs.
- To send service messages such as OTP verification, order alerts, cashier notifications, kitchen tickets, sync status, support replies, and important account notices.
- To detect and prevent fraud, duplicate sync, unauthorized access, abuse, data loss, and security incidents.
- To improve reliability, performance, product design, app diagnostics, and customer support.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where needed to provide or protect the service, including with:
- Cloud hosting, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, messaging, OTP, email, WhatsApp, payment, and technical service providers acting on our behalf.
- Payment processors, banks, mobile money providers, or settlement partners where a payment feature is used.
- Business account owners, administrators, branch managers, or authorized staff within the same company workspace.
- Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other authorities where required by law or necessary to protect users, the business, or the platform.
- Successors in a merger, acquisition, financing, or business transfer, subject to appropriate privacy safeguards.
5. Security, Sync, and Offline Data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. Duuliye Business may store limited operational data locally on a device so the app can continue working during poor internet connectivity. When the connection returns, pending orders, items, and sync actions may be sent to the backend.
Local offline data is not treated as the primary database. The backend verifies company, branch, user, item, price, tax, discount, payment, stock, and statement data before accepting synced records.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records, support receipts, statements, accounting, audit logs, security, legal compliance, dispute handling, backups, and legitimate operational needs. Retention periods may vary by data type and legal requirement.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You may update certain profile, business, staff, customer, item, and settings data inside the app or dashboard where available.
- You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account data by contacting us.
- Business owners and administrators are responsible for managing staff access, customer records, and business data entered into their workspace.
- You may manage app permissions such as camera, storage, notifications, and contacts through your device settings.
8. Children
Duuliye Business is designed for businesses and authorized staff. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children as the app's target audience.
9. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we may update the effective date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
